Do you offer trial lessons?

I often get requests for free trial lessons, especially for very young students or those that are just starting out. However, I simply cannot give away my time and services for the amount of free lesson requests I receive.

I will gladly schedule a 4-lesson “trial pack” at my normal rate so that a new student can get a feel for what lessons are like. In turn, four lessons allows me to assess the student’s skills, understand their learning style, and assist them in setting achievable musical goals. I’ve found that those who start out with four or more lessons are usually more successful with their musical endeavors, regardless of age or skill level.

How long are your lessons?

I offer half-hour, 45-minute and one-hour lessons. For voice students, I recommend scheduling lessons no shorter than 45 minutes in length due to the amount of time required to warm up the voice before singing.

Where are you located?

I offer lessons in my home studio in Boulder. I am able to accommodate lessons at student homes; however, I do charge a travel fee. For interested students located outside the Boulder commuter area, online lessons are available upon request.

COVID-19 UPDATE: In response to rising cases in Colorado, lessons will be offered exclusively online until further notice. I work with multiple online platforms, so please contact me to set up a system that will work for you.
